A Coolspring Township man who disappeared nearly a week ago was found dead Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area near the Shenango Reservoir.
The Pennsylvania State Police conducted an aerial search Tuesday for Douglas Kerr, 46, who was last seen around 6 p.m. Wednesday when he told his father he was going on a bike ride. He was reported missing by family on Monday.
According to a news release from the Mercer post of the PSP, Kerr was found dead in a wooded area near the Shenango Reservoir off state Route 258. Police said foul play is not suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.
Kerr worked at International Timber and Veneer. Colleagues said he was a model employee and they knew something was wrong when he didn’t show up for work.
According to a search of Pennsylvania court records, Kerr was cited the day before he went missing for driving with an invalid license in Jackson Township.
