Philly landscapers rescued from pool by homeowners

HAVERFORD, Pa. (AP) — A suburban Philadelphia couple who invited their landscapers to take a dip in the pool ended up rescuing the men from the deep end.

Haverford Township police Sgt. Shant Bedrossian tells the Delaware County Times (http://bit.ly/15xc8Kv) one man remains hospitalized in intensive care and the other was discharged.

He says the workers were welcomed to use the homeowners’ pool after completing their work around the property. A half hour later, around 8 p.m. Sunday, the couple found the men at the bottom of 14 feet of water and pulled them onto the deck.

Bedrossian said the man who was conscious said he couldn’t swim. The other was unconscious.

The names of the unidentified landscapers, ages 39 and 44, weren’t released.
