Obama says ‘instructive conversation’ with Xi

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) — President Barack Obama says he and Chinese leader Xi Jinping (shee jihn-peeng) had an ‘instructive conversation’ on North Korea and cybersecurity, two of the most contentious issues between the two countries.

Obama made his remarks following a meeting with the Chinese president, the first session between the two leaders during two days of talks at a desert estate.

The U.S. has complained about persistent Chinese computer-hacking, accusing Beijing’s government and military of computer-based attacks against America.
