Anthony Shivers of Salem placed first in the State Tournamet in the Discuss Throw. His throw of 203-2 was thirty feet farther than the second place finisher.
Shivers also placed sixth in the Shot Put. Andrew Filp of West Branch finished 11th, Dan Pape of Struthers finished 14th, and Jordan Lowther finished 15th.
Salem’s Zack Wukotich finished second and Arnoldo Morales of Struthers finished third in the boys High Jump.
East Liverpool’s Zack English finished 14th in the boys Long Jump.
West Branch’s team of Tyler Ware, Dustin Greenawalt, Jerry Sanor, and Drake Lohnes finished 15th in the 4×800. Lohnes placed sixth in the boys 3200 Meter Run.
The Mooney team of Jayshawn Coleman, Donovan McWilson, Dawan Britt, and Marcus McWilson finished second in the boys 4×200 Meter Relay. Mooney placed fourth in the 4×100 Meter Relay with Justus Ellis-Moore, Kareem Ellis, Britt, and Marcus McWilson running for the Cardinals. Jayshawn Coleman placed eighth in the 200 Meter Dash.
Jon Helms of Liberty placed seventh in the boys 400 Meter Dash.
Poland placed ninth in the boys 4×400 Meter Dash. Tad Duran, Connor McFadden, Aaron King, and Patrick Hiznay ran for the Bulldogs.
On the girls side, Ciera Trybend of Salem placed fifth in the Discuss Throw and eighth in the Shot Put.
Sage Spotleson of Poland placed second in the 100 Meter Hurdles, while Megan Gunther of LaBrae placed third.
Alexandra Carnathan of Ursuline placed sixth in the 100 Meter Dash. The Irish also placed fourth in the 4×100 Meter Relay. Korree Cotton, Precious Williams, Paige Hall, and Carnathan ran for Ursuline.
Haley Davis of West Branch finished 12th in the 1600 Meter Run. In the 4×400 Meter Relay, Erin Carver, Alexandria Tubbs, Haley Davis, and Kyla Sharp ran and placed ninth for the Warriors.
In the 3200 Meter Run, Poland’s Michelle Klim and McKinsie finished ninth and 12th.
