Cleanup crews returned to the the Mahoning River Saturday to continue to soak up oil spilled on Friday.

The spill was caused by an oil-water separator that failed at a Warren Township business.

Crews in Trumbull County spent eight hours working to soak up the oil on Friday. Officials believe oil could have been spilling into the water for several hours.

No word on how many gallons of oil flowed into the Mahoning River or when crews will have the mess cleaned up.
