Early morning shooting sends 4 to SW Pa. hospitals

MONESSEN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a shooting in southwestern Pennsylvania sent four people to the hospital.

Emergency dispatchers in Westmoreland County say the gunfire erupted at 1:41 a.m. Saturday in Monessen.

Police said two people were flown by helicopter to Pittsburgh hospitals and two others were taken by ambulance.

The conditions of the victims were not immediately available.

Monessen police and county detectives have not reported any arrests in the case.
