A new Boardman art gallery aims to promote local artists throughout the Valley.

The Treasure Art Gallery on Market Street opened in April.

Owner Monica Currie of Youngstown said the gallery specializes in contemporary paintings, but people can also find everything from furniture, sculptures and jewelry.

Currie said her main reason for opening the gallery is to help support other local artists.

“I’ve already gotten, I don’t know, 10, 15 calls since April from local artists that are interested,” said Currie. “And had the two here and others come through. So, I think it’s gonna work out good.”

The Treasure Art Gallery is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
