Beaver Teachers Prepared to Strike

Beaver Local teachers are prepared to go on strike the first day of the 2013-14 school year unless a new contract is reached.

The Beaver Local Education Association said in a statement on Sunday the 130-union members have voted authorized a 10-day strike notice.

The union  said they would choose strike Aug. 26, the first day of class for the new school year.

The board has been working without a contract since September.
