An inmate at the state prison in Mercer County is being accused of beating up his cellmate.
State Police have not released the inmate’s name but sources said he’s a 41-year-old man and is facing aggravated and simple assault charges for attacking Rashod Brown, 34.
Police have not yet given specific information on what happened inside the cell.
Investigators learned of the assault Sunday morning.
Brown is in the midst of a five-year prison sentence for aggravated assault. Charges of second-degree murder, conspiring to commit robberies, robbery and aggravated assault were dropped as part of a 2010 plea agreement.
