Hermitage police have charged a woman with drunk driving after a Sunday crash in Sharpsville.

Police said Kelli Caligiure, 27, of 203 E.  Shenango St., was charged with drunk driving, traveling at an unsafe speed and possessing controlled substances following the crash on S. Hermitage Road near the Shenango Valley Freeway.

A statement from Hermitage police said Caligure was driving behind West Middlesex resident Emily Pikna, 22 in the curb lane when Pikna stopped at a red light.

Caligiure failed to stop and rear-ended Pikna’s vehicle, the statement said.

Both women, along Pikna’s sister, Kelly, 20, were taken to Sharon Regional Health System for treatment for “unknown injuries.”
