SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — A northeastern Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to 15 to 40 years in a crash that killed two other women last summer.
Forty-five-year-old Sherry Hubert of Taylor pleaded guilty in February to third-degree murder in the July 21 crash.
The (Scranton) Times-Tribune (http://bit.ly/19hMgGZ ) says she was sentenced Monday by Lackawanna County Judge Michael Barrasse.
Police said Hubert was driving under the influence and speeding in Taylor when she hit another car, killing 48-year-old Kim Smith and 58-year-old Lydia Riley.
Authorities said her blood alcohol level was .208 percent, nearly three times the legal limit of .08 percent.
