An overnight blaze kept Youngstown firefighters busy for several hours on the city’s East Side.

Trucks rushed to a vacant house at 853 Kenneth Street around 11 p.m. Monday. Firefighters found flames shooting through the roof of the building.

No other structures were close by, so firefighters made sure flames didn’t spread.

An arson investigator will be on the case Tuesday morning.
