Durkin Returns as Ursuline Girls Coach

After taking two years off, Sean Durkin is back as Ursuline girls’ varsity basketball coach. He informed the team on Tuesday of his decision to return. He replaces Courtney Davidson, who recently was hired as Director of Basketball Operations for the women’s basketball program at Youngstown State.

Durkin, who is also Ursuline’s athletic director, previously spent 13 seasons heading up the Irish girls’ program. He amassed a record of 231-94, leading the team to a state title in 2004 and a state runner-up finish in 2006.

Also Ursuline’s varsity baseball coach, Durkin led the Irish to a state runner-up finish in last weekend’s Division III Baseball Tournament in Columbus.
