Public Invited to Meet New Beatitude House Director

The Beatitude House is inviting the public to meet its new executive director, Sister Janet Gardner, at two meet and greet events.

The first reception will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 19 at the Beatitude House administrative offices, 238 Tod Lane in Youngstown. A short program will be held at 10 a.m.  and there will be coffee and light refreshments.

A second reception will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 27 at A House of Blessing, 1370 Tod Ave. N.W. in Warren. A short program will take place at 10 a.m. and there will be coffee and light refreshments.

Sister Janet Gardner is replacing Sister Patricia McNicholas, who will continue to serve the organization as senior development director with a focus on funding. She served as general minister for the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God in Pittsburgh, where she oversaw and coordinated ministries in 22 locations.

She has a master’s degree in social work from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Beatitude House, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, is committed to all disadvantaged women and children. It was founded in 1988.
