NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) — A woman is under arrest in western Pennsylvania after police say she overdosed at the wheel of a car with her two children in the back seat.
WPXI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/19AnxxU) that the woman, Misty Blu McKim, was driving through New Castle on Wednesday night with her sister and two children when she said she didn’t feel well.
Police say the 29-year-old woman pulled the car over and passed out. Detectives say they found a syringe in her purse and what they suspect to be heroin in her wallet.
New Castle police charged her with drug possession and endangering the welfare of a child.
Court records didn’t list a lawyer for McKim.
McKim’s grandmother, Ann McKim, says she can’t believe her granddaughter is back in jail and that she needs help.
