Warren Police Probe Robberies

Warren police are investigating two armed robberies in the city.

In one case, a pizza delivery driver in Warren was robbed at gunpoint for the fourth time in five months.

The driver was 25 years old and works for the Pizza Hut on Mahoning Avenue N.W. Reports said the driver was robbed in front of a home about 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Lener Ave. S.W. The men took $15 and the pizza.

Four hours later, a Lener Avenue S.W. woman told police she was robbed at gunpoint while she was trying to rent a movie.

The woman said she was at the Redbox at the Walgreen’s on West Market Street when a gunman approached her. The man stole money from the woman, but she was unsure how much.

Police have not said if they believe the cases are related.
