The Scrappers dropped their 2013 season opener with a 5-0 setback to the Jamestown Jammers.

Mahoning Valley managed just five hits on the night.

Luis Lugo suffered the loss, despite allowing just one earned run in five innings of work.

Danny Collins opened the scoring with a solo homer for Jamestown, finishing the night 2-4. Catcher Jin-De Jhang and Harold Ramirez also finished with two hits apiece.

The Scrappers drop to 0-1, while the Jammers are now 1-0. The series resumes Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Eastwood Field.
