Police: Vandals damage Pa. church with syrup

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police are searching for whoever vandalized a Philadelphia-area church with syrup and fire extinguishers before taking off with a bottle of wine.

It happened earlier this month at the St. Thomas More church in Pottstown. WFMZ-TV reports (http://bit.ly/13SmnsQ ) the doors had been left open on the night of June 10 and the vandals made their way inside.

Police say the culprits sprayed fire extinguishers throughout the building, dumped maple syrup on the floor and stole a bottle of wine.

No arrests have been announced.
