Villanova ends lockdown from robbery suspect

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) — A Villanova University spokeswoman says the school is no longer under lockdown after the search for an armed robbery suspect near the campus concluded without any incidents.

Emily Walsh says the school’s public safety department gave the all-clear just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The school was put under lockdown at 4:15 p.m. as police searched for a robbery suspect near the campus and asked that people remain inside their buildings.

Radnor Police could not immediately be reached for comment.
