The body of a man who drowned Saturday in Pymatuning Lake has been found.

State Park Police said a ranger spotted the body of Lawrence Elroy Page, 48, at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

His body was on the Pennsylvania side of the lake, in the same area where he was last seen. Page, witnesses said, dove into the water to help a woman back onto a boat after she fell into the water.

Witnesses on the boat told police the victim had jumped into the water to help a woman get back on the boat, he then went underwater and never resurfaced.

Some 20 search teams from Ohio and Pennsylvania have searched for his body since he drowned.

Page was not wearing a life jacket. Park police said another person on the boat tried to save Page.

The Crawford County Coroner is conducting an autopsy.
