Police in Fowler Township are looking for the driver of a truck that dropped a tank loaded with diesel fuel and then fled the scene.

Just after midnight Wednesday, about 175 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the roadway on Route 193 between Route 305 and King Graves Road after police believe the tank fell off of a truck, hit the road and was punctured.

According to police reports, footprints were found in the grass near the tank and in the diesel fuel on the roadway.

Route 193 was closed for several hours while Hazmat crews and firefighters cleared the scene.
