Most young children ask for their favorite new toys for birthday, but a young girl from Liberty had a different idea.
Instead of gifts for herself, 10-year old Victoria Koemer asked her friends for cat supplies.
On Sunday, she donated it all to the Small World Cat and Dog Rescue Center in Girard.
She also brought along her party guests.
Victoria said the decision to donate to the center was an easy one.
“Because I have a cat at home that made me think of the cats that didn’t have homes, so I decided to give stuff to them, so they can have a nice life,” said Victoria.
Small World is a non-profit rescue center that has been opened for 20 years and are always accepting donations.
