Two injured after South Side accident

Two people are sent to the hospital, including a minor, after a car accident in Youngstown’s South Side.

Fire Fighters said that the minor is five years old. Witnesses said that she was in a car seat.

According to those witnesses a women driving down Shirley Avenue went left of center and collided head on with a blue pick-up truck.

Traffic was detoured for over an hour after the accident.

One witness said that it was a scary scene.

“Very scary, especially when I saw the little girl in her car seat. I just said to myself i really hope no one is seriously hurt,” said Hyunla Kimble who witnessed the accident.

Police are investigating the accident.
