Warren prosecutors are reviewing video taken by WKBN on Monday that shows the wife of a man charged with pushing a woman out of a window yelling at the woman after a court hearing.
Assistant prosecutor Traci Timko Rose said on Tuesday prosecutors are reviewing the footage to decide if they will file intimidation or other charges against Lisa Synuria.
Following Monday’s hearing, Synuria confronted Smith, who was paralyzed from the fall, in the parking lot and accused her of lying about who pushed her.
“It’s a memory of him? But you’re not sure who pushed you out the window? You need to go back and tell the court that my husband did not push you out the window, that you were paid for this,” Lisa Synuria said as Smith’s wheelchair was being loaded into a van.
“What are you talking about?,” Smith responded.
“Now you’re scared for your life because you were paid by the dope man and my husband is sitting behind bars. There’s an innocent man in jail,” Lisa Synuria said.
“He’s not innocent,” Smith said.
“Yes he is innocent. You know he is, Sherri. I told you a long time ago to take your [expletive] off the street. You know I did when you called me and asked me for help. I told you to take your [expletive] off the street before you get hurt, when you’re on that stuff,” Lisa Synuria said.
Synuria’s husband, Shawn, 41, is facing felonious assault charges, amended from attempted murder, for pushing Smith out of a window, paralyzing her. She’s been confined to a nursing home since.
