Hope House awarded grant

Hope House of Youngstown received a $25,000 grant Thursday from Mahoning County Commissioners.

The three-month grant will help keep the supervised visitation center at 660 W. Earle Ave. operating.

Hope House was recently awarded $30,000 from the Youngstown Community Development Block Grant.

The facility has struggled with operation costs for the last four years after it lost several major contracts.
