Pa. woman’s decomposing body found in apartment

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Police in southeastern Pennsylvania say the decomposing body of a 52-year-old woman was found in her apartment and her son has been taken into custody on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

Chester Police Commissioner Joseph Bail Jr. said Thursday afternoon that police are questioning the woman’s 28-year-old son but he is in custody on parole violations and not charged in her death.

The woman’s name is being withheld until additional family members are notified. An autopsy is being conducted to determine how she died.
