A Warren man was killed Thursday evening in a crash involving four semi trucks on Interstate 80 in Clarion Township, Pa.

Pennsylvania State Police said Joseph Bieganowski, 54, caused a train reaction crash in a construction area of eastbound I-80. Police said the Warren man struck a truck driven by James Beaty, 64, of Nicktown, Pa., which was stopped because of a construction area backup.

Beaty’s truck then hit a truck driven by Calvin Tartt, 61, of Canton, who then struck a fourth truck driven by Alonzo Pipkin, 37, of Columbus, Ga.

The crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. and shut down the eastbound lanes of the interstate for several hours, according to the PSP.

It is still under investigation.
