A dump truck filled with rocks overturned Tuesday in Slippery Rock.
Pennsylvania State Police said the truck overturned at about 9:15 a.m. on U.S. Route 422 near Mt. Hope Furlace Road. PSP said the driver, Michael J. Barbish Jr., 81, drove off the roadway for about 190 feet before striking an embankment and overturning.
The truck slid about 40 feet before it stopped at the 422-Mt.Hope Furlace Road intersection.
Barbish, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken via emergency helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Troopers are investigating the crash.
