Farmers National Bank to close two branches

Farmers National Bank is closing two of its branches.

Bank officials announced Tuesday they intend to close branches located at 16 Walnut Street in Leetonia and 2910 Youngstown Road in Warren. Bank management said in a news release that declining transactions and banking trends are driving customers toward online banking, and the Leetonia and Warren locations are “underutilized.”

Customers in Warren will have access to a Super ATM that will remain at the Youngstown Road location.

Employees will be offered opportunities at other Farmers National Bank locations.

The closings are scheduled for Oct. 1, 2013.
