Police: Man wanted for Ohio casino theft

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police are searching for a man who they say has bilked the Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati out of more than $50,000 since May 14.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the police department’s financial crimes squad is using surveillance photos to try to identify the theft suspect.

Detectives say he used counterfeit credit cards and counterfeit state identification cards at Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati between May 14 and June 26.

They say the man has used various aliases. The newspaper reports the exact amount of the loss hasn’t been determined but it’s believed to be more than $50,000.

Casino spokesman Warner Allen would say only that the casino’s security and surveillance teams are cooperating with police in the investigation.
