Appliances, water heater stolen from Pa. home

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (AP) — Police are looking for clues after someone stole kitchen appliances and a hot water heater from a newly renovated home outside Philadelphia.

Delaware County authorities say the home in Collingdale is up for sale and police say the owners had just installed a new kitchen, complete with new appliances. They had been showing the home to potential buyers and there was a lockbox on the door.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports ( ) the thefts were discovered Monday. The owner reported that the refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave and hot water heater were all gone.

Police say they found surveillance footage showing the thief or thieves driving away with the appliances around 3:20 a.m. Monday. But investigators did not immediately announce any suspects in the theft.
