The man charged with fatally shooting his neighbor Tuesday in a Knox Township mobile home park will be held in the county jail on $1 million bond until his murder case is over.

Frank Gorichky, 53, entered no plea Friday at his initial appearance in Columbiana County Municipal Court. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Friday.

Gorichky is accused of fatally shooting Michael Fisher, 46, on the porch of his Country Squire Mobile Home Park residence during an argument.

Neighbors described the two men as “drinking buddies” who were friends that would occasionally raise their voice.

Police said a witness was inside the home when the shooting happened and has been interviewed by investigators.

Gorisky, according to a search of court records, was convicted of burglary and violating a protection order in 2006. He was sentenced to nine months in prison.

Fisher also had a criminal history involving numerous misdemeanor charges spanning from 1997 through 2011. Charges included domestic violence, receiving stolen property, assault and drug possession.
