Food featured at ‘Taste of Farrell’

Farrell was serving up some good food, local history and a lot of fun.

The “Taste of Farrell” event kicked off Saturday afternoon on Veteran’s Square. The day started with a tour of local food vendors and cooks serving up Italian and Slovak dishes.

There was haluski, cabbage rolls, Italian sausage and peppers and ribs.

“We got good BBQ sauce to put over after everything. We got rib tips, slabs, half slabs, teasers, rib sandwiches. Really good, really good,” said Chef Aaron Thomas.

Food teams from Ohio and Pennsylvania also gathered at the Italian Home near the park for a bocce tournament.

A cruise in-car show continued until 8 p.m.
