Shots fired at Dollar General store in Youngstown

Diana Sheen said she was leaving the Dollar General store when two groups of people began to shoot at each other.

Gunshots rang out on Youngstown’s South Side Saturday afternoon during what was believed to be a shootout.

It happened at the Dollar General on Market Street around 3:30 p.m.

No one was believed to be injured, however a bystanders car was hit.

She said when she was leaving the store when two groups of people began to shoot at each other.

“We were trying to leave and people started shooting each other. There was a car over there and people back here and the next thing I knew my vehicle got shot,” said Diana Sheen.

The Youngstown Police Department is investigating the shooting.
