Police in Struthers don’t anticipate filing any charges after a 2-year-old boy was hit by a car and killed Monday night.
It happened at 20 Euclid Ave. just after 7:30 p.m. Investigators say the boy was playing in the grass and somehow ended up behind an SUV.
Police did a toxicology test on the driver, which is standard procedure in these cases, but at this point they believe the incident was a tragic accident.
Struthers police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating the crash, and police said the driver is cooperating.
