Detroit Zoo hosting 21-and-older event on Thursday

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Zoo is hoping there’ll be romance in the air on Thursday.

Or at least some Zoomance, anyway.

The zoo will open its doors for a special 21-and-older ticketed event it’s calling Summer Zoomance.

Officials say the three-hour, adults-only get-together will provide guests the opportunity to take a twilight stroll through the animal habitats.

Blues guitarist and vocalist Laith Al-Saadi is set to perform, and food and adult beverages will be available for purchase.

A second Summer Zoomance is scheduled for Aug. 22.
