A Cochranton, Pa., man died Thursday afternoon after falling from a bucket truck while cutting a tree in Sharpsville.

The Mercer County Coroner’s office said Guy Burgess, 37, died from a head injury. The victim fell about 4:30 p.m. on South Walnut Street.

The homeowner said the tree has been in her yard for at least 50 years and Burgess was trimming the final portion when he fell. She said she went inside to let her dog out and saw the victim lying on the concrete when she came back outside.

She said another worker already had called 911.
