A new type of festival is coming to Trumbull County. An announcement was made Friday about the Believers’ Fest to take place in downtown Warren next week.

Organizers said they are hosting the festival to promote faith in the community.

The event will feature Christian choirs, dance and musical groups. A talent showcase will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday and will feature a variety of local faith communities sharing ministries and music.

“Our ultimate goal for having this is to reinstitute the church into the community to where it is no longer just a function on the weekend but an everyday way of life,” said Bishop James Robinson. “We can truly say that we see the absence of God in our city, though he is present in our churches.”

The Believers’ Fest is scheduled for Friday, July 19-20, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
