The fifteenth annual Summer Festival of the Arts at Youngstown State University kicked off Saturday morning.

Arts and craft lovers piled on campus to get a look at artists from several states.

Vendors included picture art, handmade spoons and even handmade wind chimes.

Over 60 vendors are featured this year.

They said that they love to have people ask questions about the work that they do.

“I love the kids. The kids come up and they are fascinated. You do not see many people working by hand and people enjoy it. They do not realize what it takes to make a spoon,” said Vickie Nutter.

The Summer Festival of the Arts will continue Sunday at Youngstown State University.
