A woman was killed around 7 a.m. Saturday in a car accident in Youngstown.

Police on Monday said the driver, Dorthea Redd, 37, of Warren, lost control of her vehicle and struck a guard rail in the southbound lanes of Interstate 680 near the South Avenue exit. The SUV then traveled into the median and struck another car.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Traffic on Interstate 680 was reduced to one lane while the accident scene was cleaned up.

Youngstown police are still investigating.
