Pa. bartender, owner allegedly served 3 in fatal

PITTSBURGH (AP) — State police have charged a western Pennsylvania bar owner and a bartender in connection with three underage men who allegedly drank at the business before dying when they crashed a pickup into a pond.

But Final Score Saloon owner Larry Pompelia denies he or his bartender, Karly Ann Good, did anything wrong that night.

State police say 20-year-old Sean Titus, 19-year-old Zane McMillen and 18-year-old Cody Douglas, all of Kittanning, were drinking at Pompelia’s bar and were served by Good shortly before they crashed shortly after midnight May 5. The state police say Pompelia made false statements and falsified records while police were investigating.

But Pompelia tells The Associated Press that the crash victims didn’t drink in his bar, but merely stopped to invite a bartender to a keg party. They crashed on the way there.
