Bank warns of fraud

Home Savings & Loan is warning customer about fraudulent telephone calls being made to customers.

The bank said Wednesday some customers reported receiving calls on their cell phones saying their debit cards have been restricted and that they need to reactivate their card by pressing “1”.

A live person comes on the line and requests the card number, the bank said.

The caller is shown as “unknown” on the caller I.D.

The bank said they are not making these calls. They are urging customers to not provide any information if someone calls saying they’re from Home Savings & Loan because they never request personal or banking information that way.

They said if customers have any questions please contact the Home Savings branch office nearest you or call our Electronic Transactions department at 866-466-3050.
