Road work set for Route 14

A nearly $1 million construction project is set to begin in Columbiana County Monday.

The intersection of East Street and Washingtonville Road in the village of Washingtonville will be realigned to match state Route 14. Route 14 will also be widened to provide turn lanes and a new traffic signal. New sidewalks will also be added within the project.

Traffic will be maintained in two, 10 foot lanes during construction.

The project should be complete by spring of 2014.
