A North Bloomfield man died late Sunday after a horse and buggy turned in front of the ATV he was driving in Ashtabula County.
Thomas D. Molinatto Jr., 24, was driving his ATV on Fenton Road in Colebrook Township, just north of the Ashtabula-Trumbull border, when the horse and buggy driven by a 16-year-old from Orwell turned left in front of his ATV, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Molinatto and his passenger, Kristen Nemerovsky, 22, of Warren, were both ejected from the 2004 Polaris Predator four-wheeler ATV. Nemerovsky was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center and Molinatto was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports say both were wearing helmets.
The buggy driver, Nathan Miller, 16, turned in front of their ATV without yielding, the reports say. The buggy, with passengers Daniel Miller, 16, of Windsor, and Andy Ray Miller, 15, of West Farmington, overturned.
The patrol is still investigating the crash, reports say.
