A look at meals 2 bears ate while in Ohio’s care

Some of the meals two bears, named Dewey and Boo Boo, ate during their stay at a state-owned facility in Ohio, according to their daily feeding logs:


May 16


Dewey: one and half bagel, half bottle of Gatorade, three pounds dog food, one banana with honey, one apple with honey, two sugar cookies and two dog biscuits.


Dewey: 3 pounds dog food, half bagel, one apple, 3 tablespoons of honey, two dog biscuits and three cookies.


May 27


Dewey: Three pounds puppy chow, two doughnuts, mixed dried fruits and nuts, one chicken breast, one peach and a bowl of frozen Gatorade.


Dewey: Three pounds puppy chow, mixed dried fruits and nuts, one ear of corn, two peaches, four cookies and three Gatorade ice cubes.


June 25


Dewey: Three pounds dog food, one bagel, two doughnuts, mixed nuts and dried fruit, sweet potato, romaine heart and one hot dog.

Boo Boo: walnuts, raisins, grapes, mango, peppermints, one hot dog, sweet potato; ate one hot dog and romaine heart from previous day.


Dewey: Three pounds dog food, one fish, slices of chicken breast, pecans, dried bananas, one Popsicle, ear of corn and pineapple.

Boo Boo: one hot dog, half iceberg lettuce head, pineapple and a slice of chicken.


June 26


Dewey: frozen chicken, frozen Gatorade, nuts, dried fruit, three pounds puppy chow, one bagel, two doughnuts and four cookies.

Boo Boo: two hot dogs, grapes, half bagel and a half head of iceberg lettuce.


Dewey: Three pounds puppy chow, half bagel, nuts, ear of corn, fish.

Boo Boo: half ear of corn, one hot dog, almonds and five peppermints.
