Struthers police added to their force on Tuesday, hiring a fulltime officer.

The mayor and police chief swore in new officer Mike Trolio.

Trolio previously served as a part-time and reserve officer for Struthers and as a deputy with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office.

His first full day is tomorrow. The city now has 15 fulltime officers.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Trolio said. “It’s just kind of rolling with the punches and picking up where I left off yesterday, more or less.”
