Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday following a crash near Wilson Middle School on the South Side of Youngstown.

The Youngstown Police Department said one of the cars ran a red light at the corner of Indianola Avenue and Gibson Street around 7:30 p.m

Both of the vehicles ended up on the sidewalk after the collision. One of the vehicles became stuck in landscaping.

Parts from the vehicles were visible around the street.

Police are investigating the accident.
