Fire destroys Poland house

A house in Poland was destroyed after fire tore through the home just after noon on Wednesday.

Crews were called to the home at 7855 Lee Run Road and smoke was pouring from the roof when firefighters arrived

A woman and her son were home at the time of the fire and made it out of the house without injury. Pets inside the home were rescued.

Flames consumed much of the interior of the home and the structure is considered a total loss.

Several departments assisted Poland Township in battling the fire.  No injuries were reported.

A cause has not been determined.
