The following athletes are players whom you should become aware of entering the 2013 season.

Brendon Baugher, SR/Southington
2012: 94 tackles
…Baugher has compiled 149 tackles over the past two seasons. Brendon racked up 10 defensive stops for a loss last year.

Adrien Brown, SR/Campbell
2012: 84 tackles, 8 sacks
…As a junior, Brown had a stellar season. Adrien totaled 16 tackles for a loss and 2 defensive touchdowns.

Alec Buchenic, SR/Canfield
2012: 51 tackles
…After only managing 3 tackles in limited action as a sophomore – Buchenic finished with 51 tackles (8 for a loss) and an interception.

Joey Clark, SR/Brookfield
2012: 31 tackles, 4 sacks
…Clark was very productive a year ago tallying 4 sacks which was good for third on the team last fall.

Nick Cordova, SR/Boardman
2012: 90 tackles, 5 sacks
…Nick forced 2 fumbles while taking down the opponents’ quarterback five times.

T.K. Fortson, SR/Howland
2012: 112 tackles, 19 sacks
…Fortson was every bit as good as he was advertised. He accumulated 19 sacks, 22 tackles for a loss and was named to the First-Team All-Trumbull County team.

Vinnie Giordano, SO/Wellsville
2012: 108 tackles
…As a freshman, Giordano eclipsed the 100-tackle mark (108). Number 41 was able to finish eight games with 10-tackles or more.

Josh Goss, SR/Mineral Ridge
2012: 116 tackles, 5 sacks
…Goss led the Rams in tackles in each of the past two seasons.

Damon Green, JR/Ursuline
2012: 45 tackles
…Green is the Irish’s leading returning tackler (45) following the graduation of Shannon Hightower and Tramain Thigpen.

Justin Journey, SR/Lakeview (OH)
2012: 93 tackles, 8 sacks
…Lakeview returns their leading tackler from 2012 (93), Justin finished with 5 tackles for a loss of negative 67 yards.

Daulton, Linton, SR/Hickory
2012: 96 tackles
…Number 50 forced 3 fumbles and compiled a quarterback sack in 2012.

Eric Lucich, JR/West Middlesex
2012: 79 tackles, 2 sacks
…As a freshman, Lucich closed out 2011 with 37 tackles and 5 quarterback takedowns.

Zach Miller, SR/Greenville
2012: 139 tackles
…Zach led the Trojans in tackles a year ago.

Alex Mosora, SR/Hubbard
2012: 120 tackles, 2 sacks
…Alex has topped 160 tackles over the last two seasons. Mosora was the Eagles’ leader in tackles (120) in 2012.

Nick Sanchez, SR/Niles
2012: 105 tackles, 6 sacks
…The All-AAC selection tackled 15 opponents behind the line of scrimmage last fall.

Logan Taylor, SR/Salem
2012: 118 tackles, 4 sacks
…Not many linebackers in the state had a better season than Logan Taylor. He accumulated 118 tackles, 22 of which were for a loss, 4 forced fumbles, and 6 blocked extra points.

Zach Van Giesen, SR/Leetonia
2012: 41 tackles, 6 sacks
…Van Giesen recovered 2 fumbles and stopped 16 ball carriers before they were able to get to the line.
