Spain official says train accident leaves 35 dead

MADRID (AP) — Spanish official Alberto Nunez Feijoo says that at least 35 people have died after a passenger train derailed in the northwest of the country.

Feijoo, regional government president of northwestern Galicia, told Cadena SER radio Wednesday night that he did not have an exact death toll but that the figure “would not drop below 35.”
